DARK HAIR, DARK SKIN, DARK EYES / SHORT, MUSCULAR, & FEMININE
INTENSE STARE & IMPOSING PRESENCE DESPITE HER SIZE
BEJEWELED & WELL-DRESSED

Prudenzia is her mother's daughter, forever the exception to the rule. Being of Sunna heritage, it was expected that she would grow to surpass a certain stature; however, despite having reached adulthood, she remains at a below-average height of five feet, four inches. Be that as it may, her build is decisively athletic. All of her power rests in her core, where years of both recreational and serious swordplay have amassed stalwart abdominal muscles. Her arms, too, boast the strength of a swordswoman, as she has mightily wielded dual swords since she was young. As such, these sinewy limbs give way to robust shoulders and a strong neck. She is both muscular and feminine, shattering the preconceived dichotomy of many.

Her skin is dark and smooth, seeming to emit a healthy sheen or glow under the edicts of her youth and her continued fitness. Having said that, there is the presence of a small number of long-healed cuts on her arms as well as the distant memory of an extremely close call on the right side of her neck. All of these are merely the inherent consequences of a life spent perfecting her craft of double-handed sword-fighting. She wears them proudly and without shame, and otherwise has no other scars currently.

Rich, deep brown eyes inherit a similar radiance. There's a fire there, burning eternal -- the match having been lit and cast into the kindling since the day she was born. Though it can be useful when navigating murky social situations, it can be just as consuming. She maintains gazes with the gravity of a wildfire: cataclysmic and innate. After all, while fire can be destructive, there is no truth to be seen in the pitch darkness and no warmth to be had in the cold without it. Thus, with her chin up and shoulders back, her body language is bolstered by the tangible presence of uninhibited passion in her stare.

Complementing both her skin and eyes, Prudenzia's hair is dark brown almost to the point of being black. It is naturally curly with moderately tight coils that feel soft to the touch. She wears it in various styles, appearing to go through the motions of whatever she happens to feel keen on that day along with how much time she is willing to commit to styling it. Wearing it natural is certainly a favorite of hers; she has also been known to wear it in braids. Ornate jewelry is a recurrent theme, as well, typically appearing as precious metals, gems, and - rarely - fabrics such as silk, satin, or chiffon.

When dressing, she is quite partial to the color purple and all its shades. It isn't uncommon that she wears some semblance of trousers beneath the endless collection of dresses she owns, if only for functionality. She enjoys dressing up and accessorizing just as much as she loves to take up the hilts of her swords and partake in combat.

+ TRAITS: inspiring, conscientious, dignified, faithful, passionate, protective
- TRAITS: impulsive, self-destructive, escapist, impatient, insecure, grandiose

Passionate and proud, she wears her confidence like finely-crafted armor. Speaking her mind comes as naturally as breathing, while she remains equally unafraid to raise her hand in the face of injustice. Some would call her abrasive and rash, yet her motivation lies in the desperate need for equality among the races. As a matter of fact, she's a peculiar noble in this respect; her compassion is unanticipated. The rest of her family are rather content to dine on the spoils of their riches, at any rate -- attending parties and looking down their noses at the poor. Prudenzia is not wholly dissimilar, though, as she has not completely risen above the general platform of her pedigree. She has prejudices to unlearn and priorities to rearrange, but over all, she has recently taken off her rose-tinted glasses to crush violently beneath her heel. This change was brought on in part by the horrors of war, having reached a fever pitch in her teenage years.

This drive to take others by the hand and pull them up onto their feet has only grown with time. When she isn't attending the same elaborate events and parties that her parents and siblings (and, in truth, Prudenzia herself, also) enjoy, she is toiling over books and parchment, laying a framework for her vigilantism. It's not uncommon that she pays the bonds of those arrested for minor crimes such as petty theft or infractions pertaining to a lack of money. She does these acts in secret, concealing her identity and expecting nothing in return, save for the feeling of gratification she gets. In a sense, this is where her selfishness comes into play. Insecurity plagues her to the point where she feels as though she must do these deeds in order to elevate herself. If she is not distinguished from others of nobility, then she is no better than they. Suffice it to say, ego is a definite factor at work here, however she is loathe to admit it.

Despite this, Prudenzia is a force of nature in her own right. She isn't the sort of person to leave 'well enough' alone. Regardless of being born into nobility and wealth, she doesn't subscribe to a large portion of what is expected of someone in her class. She indulges in frivolities and extravagance, sure, but she wants to do something with that money (as briefly mentioned above). More so than the rest of her family, she gives to charities and puts coin directly into the pockets of those less fortunate. Auds are given to fae and humans alike, though she regularly finds that humans are more poverty-prone.

Aside from her impetuous desire to make the world a better place for others, she finds herself wrought with impatience. This, paired with a disastrous combination of both turbulent escapism and self-destructive tendencies, provide a shaky framework at best and a calamitous accident-waiting-to-happen at worst. She puts herself in harm's way without thinking often, pride shielding her eyes to the consequences so that she may charge in headfirst, the hero. Even if this makes for a brave foundation, restlessness and a lack of regard for her own safety very easily cancel out any heroism she may wish to accomplish.

Her struggle is one to temper this frustration, to learn to balance the pulsing life and ferocious motivation within so that she may be at her best for both herself and others. She will need to learn to think with her head but also, to allow herself the chance to grow in emotional intelligence. She struggles with introspection and holds a profound fear of organizing and approaching emotions that are even slightly uncomfortable. Her outlook involves shelving them for later, yet 'later' never comes. For all that, she can only keep running from her own fire for so long. The flames are licking the backs of her heels, pressing nearer with every interaction. One day, she'll have to come to grips with the sheer depth of the tempestuous sentiments inside her.
In the year 480, Prudenzia Kasmeer Delaqua was born to Orchidea Delaqua (née Ceren) and Laurentius Delaqua. She was one of three children -- alongside her older brother, Fidelius (seven years her senior) and her younger sister, Seraphina (two years her junior). Her birth had been somewhat intentional. The Delaquas found a fleeting moment of peace in the Fifty Year War to consider having a second child. Thus, Prudenzia was brought into the world.

At this time, the Delaquas spent a majority of their time in Sunnarst, where they were known for their extravagance and wealth. Prudenzia's ancestry there dates back for many centuries, and she holds a genuine love for her birthplace and its culture. Even so, she longed for more since a young age. Wanderlust struck her by the time she was five, and she often begged her father to let her travel with him to Kastali. He never obliged, citing the war and the general lack of safety for a child so young, and Prudenzia expressed her dismay in dramatic displays of over-acted fits. Laurentius always brought back gifts from the city, but this never sated his daughter's thirst for adventure. So, instead, she took to being tutored in the art of swordplay.

When she was eleven and her younger sister nine, their brother Fidelius joined the war effort, further cementing his favor in his parents' eyes. He fought proudly against the fae beneath future (human) King's banner, earning praise and accolades from his family and those familiar with them. Prudenzia always felt uncomfortable with her brother's part in the war, but she could never understand or articulate why. So, she said nothing and continued to hone her skills in two-handed sword-fighting. She also wrote her brother letters, asking for him to describe all of the places he saw; and, in turn, he did not only that, but he also sent her items native to these lands whenever he could.

Fidelius survived the war by the skin of his teeth, acquiring a near-fatal injury a year before the war would end that saw him bedridden for months back in Sunnarst. Prudenzia and Seraphina played a large role in his recovery, but the eldest daughter never took her eyes off the horizon.

With the War having finally formally ended in the year 500 and Prudenzia reaching the age of twenty, she got her wish in the form of successfully moving to Kastali City with her parents' blessing. She took her time on the way there, sight-seeing and admiring the various towns and landscapes along the route. It was one of the happiest times of her life, and she couldn't remember the last time she'd felt so invigorated.

Nevertheless, her arrival in the city was a far-cry from what she expected. Despite the War being over, the relationships between humans, fae, and dragons were worse than ever. She initially noticed small incidents of prejudice, followed by growing acts of injustice that left her chest heavy and her fists taut. It wasn't long into her residency that she began to construct a plan of action. The beginning stages of this involved minor feats at first. She inhibited dragon merchants in small ways, causing frustration and inconvenience. Soon, she was covering her face and finding ways to cut the bindings of dragons when their captors weren't looking. Eventually, with the aid of other humans and fae, she unintentionally created an underground resistance effort with the common goal of bettering life for all the races but, especially, dragons.

Little do her parents know that their daughter avoided a war, only to steal away to the capital city to spark another revolution.

- [Click - hilt reference, sans jewels] Two ornate dual-wielding swords named Mesmerize and Illusion. The swords were commissioned by her father and crafted by a renowned bladesmith specifically for Prudenzia as a gift for when she turned eighteen. The metalwork has sharply cut amethysts embellished in the base of the hilt and the sword itself. She typically wears these crossed on her back in their deep purple scabbards or on either hip in the same sheaths.
